Overview
Tempo’s features fall into four main categories:
Local dates and times
Local dates and times, such as
LocalDateTime,
store a simple date and time like you would write on paper. They’re
straightforward, and easy to reason about.
Absolute dates and times
Absolute dates and times, such as
ZonedDateTime,
represent an absolute point in time relative to
UTC. They offer more capabilities, such as
time zones, but are more difficult to use and require more thought.
Relative times
The relative time types,
Timespan
and
Period,
represent a length of time such as five minutes or three months.
Time zone lookups
Time zone lookup functions provide you with tools for finding a time zone.
